Rachael Emmons (#44) got her start in softball thanks to her dad, who signed her up and quickly became her biggest supporter and role model. She loves making big plays and hearing the cheers from her teammates, and one of her proudest moments was throwing a runner out at home from right field to save a game. Rachael’s speed is one of her biggest strengths, helping her track down tough balls in the outfield and support her team defensively. Her primary position is right field, though she also loves playing second base. While hitting was once a challenge, she’s put in the work at the cages every Friday with her dad, and now she’s seeing her progress pay off. Outside of softball, Rachael keeps busy playing basketball and volleyball, and she has a fun hobby of collecting toy ducks—she already has 83 in her collection! This season, she’s focused on continuing to improve her hitting while building lifelong friendships and preparing for the next level of competition, where she hopes to keep developing her skills and catch the attention of colleges.
