BIO
Payton McCurdy (#2) was inspired to start playing softball by her sister, and over the years she’s grown to love both the mental and physical challenges the game brings. She’s played for multiple teams, learning the importance of keeping a positive attitude along the way, and her biggest strength is being a true utility player—able to step in and contribute at catcher, second base, or the outfield whenever needed. Catcher is her favorite spot on the field, but no matter where she plays, Payton always brings versatility and hard work to her team. One of her proudest achievements so far is earning a spot on the Ohio Storm roster. She looks up to her sister as her role model in life and admires the Oklahoma softball team for their success on the field. Outside of softball, Payton also runs track for her school, but her long-term goal is to play college softball and be known for her work ethic and skills. For now, she’s focused on improving every part of her game and embracing every challenge as she works toward the next level.
