Haylee McQuain (#13) began her softball journey after first playing T-ball and baseball. In 5th grade, she made the transition to softball, joining her local recreation league before advancing to travel softball. Over the years, Haylee has competed in multiple states, including West Virginia, Pennsylvania, and Ohio. Most recently, she played for her middle school team, where she contributed to winning the conference championship. Haylee’s primary position is first base, which is also her favorite position to play. Known for her strong work ethic, she believes in setting the tone for her team through consistent effort, preparation, and a positive attitude. Her dedication both on and off the field helps inspire her teammates to give their best every day. Among her accomplishments, Haylee is especially proud of hitting 10 career home runs — a reflection of her power and commitment to improvement. Her biggest role models are her parents, who have been a constant source of support and guidance throughout her athletic journey. To Haylee, team collaboration means growing together, working as one unit, and building trust and communication within the team. Outside of softball, Haylee enjoys volleyball and camping, activities that allow her to stay active and connected with others. Looking ahead, Haylee’s goals include continuing to build confidence, remain a positive teammate, and expand both her skills and mindset as she prepares for higher levels of competition. Her long-term goal is to play softball in college, where she looks forward to growing as both an athlete and a leader while continuing to refine her strengths and address her weaknesses.
